Comedies at Erudio Show

The first show of the Erudio Theatre Club, “Comedies at Erudio” reunites three of Caragiale’s pieces - The Great Heat, the Veta-Ziţa scene A Stormy Night, and the Zoe- Tipătescu scene A Lost Letter (three famous moments of Caragiale’s work), and an adaptation of A Quad of Queens by Gh.Brăescu.

This show is the direct result of the work of Erisma graduates who wanted to open up a Theatre Club under Erudio’s patronage.

If in The Great Heat Heat the comical absurdity of the situation seems to indicate some sort of confusion, then the allusion to today’s modern Romania is obvious. Nothing helps eliminate the confusion, not even IT technology.
In the Veta-Ziţa scene from A Stormy Night we’re surprised to find that the relationship between the two women has something of the modernity of paroxysmic living today, where public and private space are locked in a permanent struggle.
The scene from A Lost Letter suggests the political game where the woman manipulates a manipulator, in the context of an unusual clash between Eros and Computer.
The four women ofA Quad of Queens are vestiges of a loneliness cultivated as the only hope of being together: seems familiar, doesn’t it? What else is the net?

Comedies at Erudio is show about yesterday’s world seen through the eyes of today’s world. The actors, all amateurs, come from the world of business and to try the artistic experience of portraying and living another part. They like it, they feel it’s something else. An unknown but fascinating world because it might help you find yourself. IN A DIFFERENT WAY.
